Baptism

Sacred Scriptures

"Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you."
- Mt 28:19-20a

Catechism of the Catholic Church

Holy Baptism is the basis of the whole Christian life, the gateway to life in the Spirit, and the door which gives access to the other sacraments. Through baptism we are freed from sin and reborn as sons and daughters of God; we become members of Christ, are incorporated into the Church and made sharers in her mission.

    • Download Baptismal Request Form
    • Descargar Solicitud de Bautismo

  • In a Catholic baptism only one Sponsor/Godparent is required and that person can be male or female and should be a practicing Catholic, i.e. baptized and celebrated his/her First Communion and Confirmation.
  • If more than two Sponsors/Godparents are chosen, only two names will be recorded in the official record and appear on the Baptismal certificate.
  • A copy of your child's official birth certificate must be submitted with the Baptismal Request Form.

Note: Date requested for the baptism should not be considered confirmed until you receive notification from the Parish Office because we may not be able to honor your request.
