DETAILS OF THE SUNDAY LITURGIES

The Sunday liturgies include five masses each weekend: four in English and one in Spanish. The English liturgies share a common musical plan with some modifications for the 10 a.m. choir mass.

5 p.m. Saturday in the chapel (piano and cantor)

8 a.m. Sunday in the church (primarily piano, some use of the organ, cantor(s), frequently instrumentalists)

10 a.m. Sunday in the church (piano with choir in the front or organ with choir in the balcony as determined by the director and the repertoire) parish choir, cantor (psalmist), occasional inclusion of instrumentalists

The 12 p.m. Sunday mass is entirely in Spanish. This mass uses an almost entirely different repertoire from the English masses except for the common bilingual music known to all choirs. Two ensembles, the Coro Hispano (adult choir) and Coro de Niños (children’s choir) support the singing at these liturgies. Additionally, there is a regular percussionist who assists at these liturgies. The Coro de Niños sings for the 12 p.m. mass twice a month from September – May. During this time, the Coro rehearses weekly. Additionally, the Coro de Niños sings for the 4 p.m. Christmas Eve Mass.

6 p.m. Sunday in the chapel (piano and cantor)
