Parish Council In Formation Rectory Dining Room The Pastoral Council is a group of nine to twelve parishioners who represent all aspects of the parish whose purpose is to consult with and advise the pastor on parish issues and initiatives.
Finance Council Monthly Meetings Rectory Dining Room The Finance Council is an appointed committee of parishioners whose purpose is to consult with and advise the pastor on parish financial issues and fund raising initiatives.
Liturgy Committee Monthly Meetings Rectory Dining Room The Liturgy Committee is a group of parishioners whose purpose is to consult with and advise the pastor on the planning and coordination of parish liturgical celebrations and volunteer ministries.
Ignatian Services Wednesday 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.; Friday 10 a.m. – 12 p.m. Food Pantry Ignatian Services is the social service expression of St. Ignatius Church. Its purpose is to provide assistance to those members of our neighborhood who are in need and its primary ministry is the distribution of food through our food pantry. Together, our volunteers, benefactors, parishioners, and clients form a community. This is why we say that WE ARE ALL IGNATIAN SERVICES.
Glenola Club of Loyola Center Monthly Meetings Rectory Dining Room/Holy Name Room Founded in September 1921, the Glenola Club is the women's organization associated with St. Ignatius Parish. It continues to enroll women attracted to its social, civic, educational and benevolent activities. Throughout each year, the Glenola Club sponsors educational, cultural, and fund raising events.
Knights of Columbus University Council 1687 Monthly Meetings Holy Name Room Knights of Columbus, University Council 1687 is the local chapter of the national Knights of Columbus Catholic men's organization. It organizes fund raising initiatives on behalf of the parish and the national organization. It also coordinates beneficial services such as blood drives for the St. Ignatius parish community.
Legion of Mary Saturday Morning Rectory Library The Legion of Mary is the local chapter if the international faith and service organization founded in Ireland in the 1920's. Its members gather every Saturday morning after the daily mass to pray the rosary and hold meetings.
Parish Choir Tuesday 7:30 - 9:00 p.m. Music Rehearsal Room The Parish Choir is an SATB (soprano-alto-tenor-bass) chorus for teens and adults that sings for the 10 a.m. mass each Sunday. The parish choir sings a wide range of repertoire including hymnody, chant, Renaissance polyphony, choral anthems, and contemporary music.
Circulo de Oración Friday 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Holy Name Room The Circulo de Oración is the charismatic Hispanic prayer group affiliated with St. Ignatius parish. This group holds weekly prayer meetings.
Grupo Del Rosario Thursday at 7:30 p.m. Chapel The Grupo Del Rosario is the Spanish Rosary Society. This group gathers to pray the Rosary every Thursday evening in the Chapel.
Coro de Niños Saturday Morning Music Rehearsal Room The Coro de Niños is the parish's primary children's choir which sings for the 12 p.m. Spanish mass on average three times a month from September - May.
Coro Hispano Sunday Morning at 11:30 a.m. Main Church The Coro Hispano is a teen and adult choir which currently rehearses on Sunday mornings at 11:30 a.m. and sings in Spanish for the 12 p.m. mass each Sunday. This choir sings beautiful Hispanic liturgical songs and often sings together with the Hispanic children's choir, the Coro de NiƱos. The choir is accompanied by piano, bass, and percussion.
Hermandad del Señor de los Milagros Monthly Meetings Holy Name Room The Hermandad del Señor de los Milagros is a Peruvian devotional society affiliated with St, Ignatius parish for over 35 years. Each year, on the third Sunday in October, the Hermandad sponsors a triduum, solemn mass, and outdoor procession in honor of el Señor de los Milagros (Our Lord of the Miracles).
Comite Guadalupano The Comite Guadalupano is a devotional society devoted to the patroness of the Americas, the Virgen of Guadalupe (Our Lady of Guadalupe). Each year, on December 12th, they sponsor a triduum, mañanitas, and solemn mass in honor of the Virgen de Guadalupe.
Coro Virgen de la Nube The Coro Virgen de la Nube is an Ecuadorian devotional society devoted to the patroness of Ecuador, Virgen de la Nube (Virgen of the Clouds). Each year, on January 1st, they sponsor a triduum, solemn mass, and outdoor procession in honor of the Virgen de la Nube.
