Volunteer Ministries at St. Ignatius

St. Ignatius has many opportunities for its members to minister and give of their time and talents within the parish community. Please read the list below and see if you would like to participate in one of these ministry opportunities. The appropriate contact person is listed for each ministry.

Lectors If you feel a call to read the word of God during our liturgies, please contact our coordinator of lectors. You will need to participate in a formation process for this ministry.

Eucharistic Ministers If you feel a call to distribute the Eucharist during our liturgies, please contact our coordinator of eucharistic ministers. You will need to participate in a formation process for this ministry.

Ushers and greeters If you would like to join our dedicated core of ushers and greet people before the liturgy and make the liturgies a welcoming place then please contact Brian DuSell.

Altar Servers If you would like your children to serve on the altar for our weekend liturgies then please contact our Coordinator of Youth Ministry.

Choir members If you would like to cantor for liturgies or become a member of one of our choirs please contact our Director of Music, Brian DuSell.

Ignatian Services Food Pantry Volunteers If you would like to assist with the distribution of food and other essentials to those in need, please contact our Director of Ignatian Services, Kathy Morris.

Market Day Volunteers If you would like to unpack and distribute food during our Market Day food sales, then please contact our Market Day director.

Sunday Social Hosts If you would enjoy hosting one of our Sunday after-mass socials then please contact Mercedes MacLaughlin..

Ministers of Care If you would like to take the Eucharist to the ill and homebound, then please contact our Minister of Care Coordinator, Maureen Drain at (773) 764-5936.

Bereavement Ministers If you would like to console those who have experience the loss of a loved one and assist them in planning the funeral liturgy for the deceased then please contact Mercedes MacLaughlin.

Marriage Coordinators If you would like to assist couples as they prepare for the sacrament of marriage then please contact Mercedes MacLaughlin.

Baptism Coordinators If you would like to meet with couples as they prepare for the baptism of their children, then please contact Mercedes MacLaughlin.
