After Mass Sunday Social in the renovated Holy Name Room.

  • The Holy Name Room, the primary room for parish social functions is now newly renovated. Pat O'Malley, Larry Dorn, Ray Bower, and other parish volunteers have worked long arduous hours to remove the false ceiling, wall board, restore the brick and plaster, paint, create all new woodwork and mouldings, and install new lighting. We invite you to come downstairs and enjoy the friends, fellowship and the newly renovated gathering space.

  • Host a Sunday Social! Every Sunday, there is a coffee and doughnuts social hour after the 8AM and 10AM masses in the Holy Name Room. These socials are the perfect place to visit with friends and meet new parishioners after mass. Volunteers are needed to purchase the food and beverage and set up the room each week. Hosting a social is a great way to help our parish and meet many new friends. We need YOUR help to make the Holy Name Room a welcoming and inviting space with doughnuts for all!

  • The Deagan Tower Chime Restoration Plaque is now installed on the south wall of the church. This plaque lists the donors, memorials, and workers that enabled our beautiful tower chimes to play once again.

  • Volunteers are also needed to assist with the planning and preparation for our  parish centennial celebration in 2007. If you would like to participate in planning the celebration of a century, please contact Tom and Donna Gnidovic at stigcent@sbcglobal.net.

  • All occasion greeting cards are now available! St. Ignatius is pleased to offer beautiful all-occasion greeting cards. The front design of these lovely cards is a picture of the restored Chapel Altar, with the mural behind and the newly silver-leafed plaster-detail arch. The card is blank inside allowing you to use them for the occasion of your choosing. These cards are excellent as thank you or get well cards. They are the perfect gift to send to a St. Ignatius friend or Alum who's moved out of town, or use them as your regular stationary, thank you cards or gift cards. These cards are useful all year round! Cards may be purchased at the rectory for $1.50 each, or 10 for $10.00. Please call or email Mercedes MacLaughlin for more details.  Order yours now, quantities are limited!

  • Another easy way that you can help is by saving your aluminum can tabs. You know, they're the little things that you use to open cans of soda, juice, beer, dog and cat food? Well, turns out that a pound of those pop tabs is pure aluminum, while a pound of soda cans not only takes up more space, but also is made up of largely non-aluminum metals alloyed in the cans. So, save the tabs and recycle the cans. You can drop the tabs off or mail them to the rectory. Sr. Mary Catherine Beckman, an Ignatian Services volunteer, delivers them to the local Ronald McDonald house for us. This is just one more way that St. Ignatius reaches out to our larger community.
